What can I say?  It's February and we are in full swing here at TABA organizing the Home & Garden Show and putting together the Parade of Homes.  The first six months of the year are always the busiest time for me as all of the major association projects begin and end during this period.

Some of you may have called the TABA office to hear a different voice answering the phones.  Tracy has joined our team for a short time to help get us through the crazy times that come with the Home & Garden Show.

As you have probably read or heard by now, the Home & Garden Preview Party should be a great event again this year.  The theme this year is Welcome Home--we are using it as an opportunity to pay tribute to our troops.

The Home & Garden Show committee will be dressed in  their camo best in honor of these brave men and women who serve in our military.  We encourage you to join in the spirit.

The Parade of Homes entry deadline date has come and gone and it looks like we will have at least 15 homes on tour this year.  It should prove to be an entertaining and inspiring tour for our community.  More information regarding the parade will be published in future editions of our newsletter.

The location for the Parade Kick-Off BBQ and Awards Party has been decided.  The party will be held at Seaton Star Hall and we are in the process of securing a band for this event.  It should be another great event for all of our members.

The Membership Meetings and Sponsors Committee are planning the March Crawfish Boil which will again be held at Lamar Advertising.  They have kicked the event up a notch by booking Jean-Pierre and the Zydeco Angels - a rocking cajun band (so I've been told).  It should be alot of fun.  It is again sponsored by McCoy's Building Supply who will be on hand to answer questions and give out information about the products they carry and the services they provide.

As you can see it's busy, busy, busy around here but we are lovin' it.  Can't wait to see everyone at the Preview Party.  Don't forget to come dressed in your camo.
