The Parade Is Coming To Town

I can't believe that it is already Parade time.  It just seems like we celebrated Christmas, but here we are with Easter already upon us.  The Parade builders and subcontractors have been working tirelessly to bring quality products to the citizens of Central Texas and TABA is very proud to produce it.  It is going to be a spectacular event as 20 homes will be showcased.

You won't want to miss the party celebrating this event!  Mark April 20th at Seaton Star Hall on your calendars today.  There will be BBQ catered by Best Quality Meats and the entertainment will be provided by Wild Horses - this really is a CAN'T MISS party!

I would like to personally thank Central National Bank for partnering with us this year.  I would also like to thank Inhouse Security, Tri-Supply, Amos Electric, Texas Bright Ideas, Heart of Texas Landscape & Irrigation, the Temple Daily Telegram and Atmos Energy for their support.  These partners are very important to this association.

Members - don't forget that discount parade tickets are available as a benefit of membership.  They will be available for purchase only at the TABA office beginning April 13th.  They are $4, half price of the adult ticket price.  Half price children's tickets are not available.

BBQ Cook-Off

Hopefully you read all about the Cook-off on a previous link.  The Annual TABA BBQ Cook-Off is scheduled for June 15th at Overlook Pavilion on Lake Belton.  Once again this will be "kid friendly" event, with activities provided just for the kids on what is sure to be a hot summer night.

We had 12 teams participate last year and we are hoping to grow that to 15 (which is probably our max at the facility).  The event was a blast last year and we believe it is another CAN'T MISS

Calling TABA Bowlers

Do you bowl?  Do you want to bowl?  If you are like me and can't golf or shoot skeet, bowling is just the thing for you.  Everyone can roll a bowling ball down a lane and we want you to participate in the first bowling tournament that TABA has ever organized.  The Membership Meetings & Sponsors Committee have already gone and had a "test bowl" and had a blast doing it.  It was competitive and fun and we are excited to bring this event to our members.

There will be more information in the coming months so keep reading future editions of the newsletter.  We do know it will be scheduled sometime in July - stay tuned for more details.

Member's Note:

Todd & Justin Weber of Weber's Shooting Center asked me to let our members know that they are working with the McLane Company to put on a charity skeet shoot on Firday, April 27th and Saturday, April 28th.  It is a two-day event and a portion of the proceeds will go to the Children's Miracle Network.  If you are interested in putting together a team for a worth while cause, please call Weber's Outdoors at 254-791-4867 for more information.

That's it from my desk, hope to see everyone at Seaton Star Hall and toast to our success.
